Blog housekeeping items

Item Number One:  I joined Pinterest and it is the coolest place ever.  It's kind of like a virtual bulletin board for all of your inspiration for every aspect of yourself.  It's a great place to keep your ideas organized.  Anyway, you can follow other peoples boards so I would love to have more people to follow and follow  me.
If you already have an account I think you can go here to follow me.  If not I guess you can search for me.
If you want to join you can either request an invitation from them or let  me know and I can send an invitation from my account.  It's so much fun!

Also, I had a hard time getting my pin-it button to work in Explorer so I changed my browser to Google Chrome (which I like much better anyway), and it worked great.

Item Number Two: I know watching my hair grow is about as excited as watching paint dry, so instead of doing posts I will be putting the pictures on the sidebar at the bottom if you care to check it out.

Thanks-That's all!

He is a great happy kid is does great at sports and school.  During the girl C's crisis instead of freaking out, he went and got three band-aids, opened them, and calmly laid them on the table without being asked.  I wasn't even that calm.  I love this kid.

ER Visits and Birthdays

The day before the girl C's birthday, I was making dinner. I had someone (name will not be given to protect the innocent) go get and open a can of pears. It didn't get opened all the way, and the girl C was apparently hungry and stuck her hand in to get some. I noticed what she was doing and said, "don't let her cut her hand!" The same someone panicked and grabbed the can and pulled and the process cut the pad of her middle finger off.

All we knew at the time and she was gushing blood all over the kitchen. She wanted me, but I was too concerned about my new t-shirt to let her hug me. So I took off my shirt and Tristan went to get me a gross one. We called my SIL to come over and left the boys.

Urgent Care wasn't sure what to do either so they recommended the ER. He dropped words like skin grafts. Not cool. ER told us that there wasn't anything to stitch and that she would heal just fine. So, basically we have to wrap her hand (after a couple of ointments) every day. She is doing really well with it. She hates to have her wrap off because she feels very vulnerable.

We are glad it wasn't worse but it was a good reminder how precious life is.

This is after 24 hours.

Good morning beautiful

When the weather warmed up, (for a minute anyway) we must have worn the girl C out because for about a week she slept until 11:00 or 12:00.  The morning of these photos I had to wake her up so we could get ready to go somewhere.  I wanted to capture the process and loved the sleepy, satisfied look on her face.
