I wasn't really dreading Spring Break, but I was a little curious about how it was going to go.
An entire week?
Guaranteed crappy weather?
The week before tax day so dad won't be around and when he is, he is tired and stressed?
An oldest child who has a hard time when school is out because he likes structure?
Hmmmm....
Well, it was probably one of the best we had. It was kind of nice because most of the friends went out of town (not that we don't love our friends!!), and it was too cold to spend much time outside, so they were forced to play with each other and think of things to do together.
We did make a schedule of one organized activity to do each day. And no I didn't take one picture.
Monday: Watch the Final Four (which, BTW, I won the J family trophy, wahoo!)
Tuesday: Craft day, we melted down crayons and made them into shapes using those flexible ice trays.
Wednesday: Rented Tangled (loved it), and got Pizza Hut Pizza.
Thursday: Saw Yogi Bear at the cheap theater. (Not so cute)
Friday: Blast Off
Saturday: Soccer practice, two baby showers, and had dinner with my sister and her family from Canada
We were healthy, we had fun, we survived, we are excited for school to start again.
We are excited for next Monday being tax day and getting our dad back.
We are grateful that he works so hard for our family.
Sounds like a successful spring break. It was great to see you!
